We love playtimes here at Hanwood! Our vision is that every child has an amazing hour of play each day with opportunities for reasoning, problem solving, communicating and getting muddy! We have developed and improved our playground by creating a digging and mud area, a village area with wooden teepees and dens and a creative area where children can dress up and undertake role play activities. We have something for everyone, no matter what their interests are. From reading and colouring, creating obstacle courses with loose parts, building dens, cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen or balancing in our giant spinning tops.
Children come to school prepared with wet weather clothes and wellies so that they can enjoy their playtimes whatever the weather!
