Key information for Year 4’s MTC

During the summer term, pupils in year 4 will participate in the multiplication tables check (MTC).  The MTC is statutory for primary schools. The purpose of the check is to determine whether pupils can fluently recall their times tables up to 12, which is essential for future success in mathematics. Pupils will have 6 seconds to answer each question and will be required to answer 25 questions in total.
