If you would like your child to attend our school, please see the full details of our admissions arrangements below.
Admissions to Reception
If you would like your child to start school with us in September, applications must be made through the Admissions Team at Shropshire Council by 15 January before the year in which your child is due to start school. All applications received by this date will be considered and parents will be informed by Shropshire Council on 16 April if they have been allocated a place for their child.
The Admissions Team at Shropshire Council will be able to answer any specific queries regarding the application process and can be contacted via:
Tel: 0345 6789008
Address: Admissions Team, Learning & Skills, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, SY2 6ND
Admissions to Nursery Class
At St Thomas and St Anne's Primary School, we also have a Nursery that operates in term-time Monday - Friday from 9-12. Children can attend from the term after their third birthday until school age.
If you are planning on transferring your child from another school, 'mid-term' applications will be subject to the same admissions criteria as for Reception admissions. To apply for a place other than the start of Reception, please apply directly to the school on a mid-term application.
This form is also available directly from the school office if you would prefer a paper copy.
If the application is for a place in an over-subscribed year group, the Headteacher will consider whether additional places can be offered above the published admission number based on the capacity within the current school structure. If a place cannot be offered, parents will receive a formal letter and information on how to appeal against the decision from Shropshire Council Admissions Team.
If you have any queries or would like to arrange to visit the Nursery or the School please contact Amy Taylor, Business Manager on 01743 860400 or email@example.com.
